To our donors, volunteers, audiences, artists, and community partners: a sincere heartful thank you for sharing your love of music over the past 34 years!
A critical financial shortfall has forced this 34-year-old chamber music series to close its doors. On June 16, 2025, at a special meeting of our members a resolution to dissolve the organization, transferring all assets to the Women’s Musical Club (WMC) of Winnipeg. This difficult decision was rooted in a deep sense of responsibility and respect for our members, ticket holders, donors, musicians and community.

Virtuosi Concerts has achieved remarkable things over the past 34 years and leaves behind a legacy to be proud of. We've produced hundreds of performances, supported dozens of local musicians and artists through our Young Artists Program, and welcomed thousands of audience members.
While this is the end to an organization, it is not an end to the relationships that we've built or to the music I hope we will continue to share.
A special thank you Jennifer Thiessen who stayed aboard through this difficult time to help us finish the season in an expanded Artistic Producer role — thank you for your artistic vision and your dedication!
We, as a board, are deeply grateful for every moment, every note played, every ticket purchased, every hour volunteered.
This closing chapter is a signal to our community to ensure we do not take our arts and culture for granted. We invite you to shift your support to the Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg as season subscribers, ticket holders, donors and supporters.
We look forward to listening to the sweet sounds of chamber music with you again — it is after all, the music of friends.
Should anyone wish to speak further about the merger, please don't hesitate to reach out to myself or any board member with whom you are in contact.
Best wishes to you all!
